From September 2026, this isn't optional.
The DfE's new statutory RSHE guidance requires primary schools to teach emotional regulation, everyday coping, and help-seeking, as a planned, sequenced curriculum. And under Ofsted's renewed framework, personal development and wellbeing is a standalone graded area on your report card. A one-off wellbeing day won't answer either. A structured, whole-school curriculum will.
